ABOUT US Why Rad-Pads Cloth Menstrual Pads? The philosophy of the owner of Rad-Pads is that we should do as much as we can to leave the earth in a better state than we found it. We also believe that individuals and communities have the right to pursue the freedom to live in a safe, peaceful and non-toxic environment. To this end, Rad-Pads seeks to support and conduct business with individuals, communities and organisations who actively seek to promote these principles. Rad-Pads also seeks to use non-toxic, biodegradable products and packaging as well as sustainable work practices where ever possible.
History Rad-Pads cloth menstrual pads was first established in 1993 out of a concern for women’s health, economy and the environment. Wendy Dumaresq took over the running of Rad-pads in 2005. Rad-Pads has benefited from much innovative product development and promotion by previous owner Jane Bennett. It is through the great work of Jane and the founding owner Rachael Gregg that Rad-Pads has developed a strong reputation for quality, comfort, reliability and economy. Focus Wendy’s primary focus with Rad-Pads cloth menstrual pads and in her natural medicine clinic ‘Wise Women’s Wellbeing’ is: better health for this generation and generations to come’. This is inclusive of considerable concern about the effects of environmental toxins and ‘vandalism’, such as unnecessary waste in landfill both on our health and on the health of our planet. The Team The Rad-Pads production team, Lu Savino (Cutter), Jenny Hawkins (office, packing, sewing and co-ordination) and “GreenGraphics” (artworks/graphics) put a great deal of care into the production of Rad-Pads and related activities and enjoy your great feed-back about our products. The Wise Women’s Herbal Tea Blends are co-ordinated and packed by Ella Mahony with graphic design work of the blends by Thanks also to Anthony of "Fastweb" for webdesign, help and his patience! Not forgetting the team of Natural Woman Network Facilitators as well as our retail partners.
