Why Hemp fleece?

• Hemp fabric has antibacterial and antifungal properties, which makes it the perfect fabric for menstrual pads.
• Hemp requires no herbicides, pesticides, fungicides or fertiliser to grow, so it is more environmentally friendly to grow and safer to use on sensitive skin. 
• Hemp is 10 times stronger than cotton and is therefore much more durable.
• Hemp is more absorbent than cotton so less fabric is needed, resulting in less bulky but more effective cloth pads. And, hemp becomes more and more absorbant over the first few washes. 
• Hemp fabrics become softer with age and through use. 
• Hemp is a porous fibre, meaning hemp fabric breathes - making it cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
